Woojerโs Strap 4 is a wearable haptic strap that turns low-frequency audio into vibration you feel on your body. Because it reads the sound rather than the game, it works with almost any game or music source, with no special support needed.
How it works
One transducer sits on an adjustable elastic belt (fits roughly 15 to 65 inches). Connect by Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C or 3.5 mm. Cybernews found Bluetooth less consistent for gaming and used USB-C. There are three modes (Broad, Focused and Gaming) and a Woojer Device Manager app for settings. It weighs roughly 240 to 250 g.
In games
Cybernews tested it in Skyrim, Resident Evil Village and GTA V. It felt strongest on big, low-frequency moments such as dragon roars, explosions, engine rumble and sudden scares. Weapon hits and gunshots gave little feedback, the feedback is not directional, and constant background audio can be distracting, so lowering music helps. Horror, action and racing games were the best fit. Music works best with bass-heavy tracks, and movies were a bonus rather than a main use.
Battery
Rated up to 10 hours; about 8 hours in that test, with roughly 3 hours to charge.
