Most of us have walked out of a meeting and forgotten the one thing we promised to do. Omi is a small AI wearable that is designed to capture conversations and turn them into summaries and action items. Here are four everyday situations where that could be useful. 👇

💼 1. After a meeting or a call
Instead of scribbling notes, you can let the device capture the conversation and review an AI summary afterwards. Always tell people you are recording, and check the rules where you live.

💡 2. When an idea hits you on the go
A walk, a commute or a shower thought can disappear fast. A hands-free voice note that gets organised for you can help you hold on to it.

✅ 3. Keeping track of to-dos and promises
The app is designed to pull out action items from your conversations, so you have a list to check rather than relying on memory. As with any AI tool, check the list for accuracy.

🔍 4. Finding something you heard before
Because conversations can be searched, you may be able to find what someone said last week without digging through your memory. Before you rely on this, read the company’s privacy policy to see how your data is stored and used.

✔️ Pros

• Hands-free capture, so you can focus on the conversation
• AI summaries and action items can save time after meetings
• Open-source approach and an app ecosystem you can extend
• Searchable history of what you have discussed

✖️ Cons

• Recording raises privacy and legal considerations, including consent
• AI transcripts and summaries can contain mistakes, so double-check important details
• Needs a phone and a good connection for the best results
• Some features may depend on apps or subscription plans, so check the terms

💬 Final Verdict
Omi may be worth a look if you juggle many meetings and conversations and want help remembering the details. Use it responsibly, get consent where required, and check the privacy policy and the current features before you buy.
